It's weird that only a day ago I was excited about going to New Hope (which is a trip I make not very often) with a vague memory of an artist of whom I really liked their work but couldn't recall their name. I did remember the location of the gallery though, so when I arrived I quickly made my way back to the area where I remembered seeing the work, but it wasn't there. Then I saw something out of the corner of my eye...a piece that said "you know you want me right this second...so just buy me!". I knew in a split second that it was the same artist I remembered from my last visit, but I made sure to ask anyway (not that it would have mattered much...I would've bought this piece anyway)...but when I heard "Nikki Addeo" I exclaimed "Yeah!", instantly remembering. So, I bought the piece (no surprise there)and I love it...Definately one of my favorites in the personal collection. I'm happy to see some of the progress work here...especially right before I look up and see the original two feet in front of my face (as I'm doing now). Anyway, I thought you might find that interesting. Oh, and come over to my blog sometime...I'm currently studying illustration myself at Ringling...any feedback would be great.
